What a phenomenal film!
The topic of Assi is extremely important for our society. The film highlights the harsh and disturbing reality of how sexual crimes still exist around us. We don’t know how many such crimes happen daily, while many criminals roam freely without punishment. The story strongly reflects this painful truth.
The screenplay is engaging and fast-paced, keeping the audience invested throughout the film. The courtroom drama feels very realistic and impactful.
Taapsee Pannu as Raavi delivers one of the best performances of her career.
Kani Kusruti as the victim is absolutely extraordinary and emotionally powerful.
Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub is very effective in his role.
Kumud Mishra and Manoj Pahwa both have strong screen presence.
The direction by Anubhav Sinha is outstanding and extremely realistic, making the film even more impactful.
Please, it’s a request — go and watch this film in theatres. It’s an urgent watch.
